We’re Melissa and Craig from the Charles Street Helpdesk. Please click here to view a welcome video from the team.

Your Helpdesk, often referred to as the font of all knowledge, is located on Level 1 of the Charles Street Building.

The Charles Street Building is home to the Student Services team as well as the Helpdesk. Feel free to email, call or visit the desk with any enquires you may have through your time at the University.

University life isn’t always simple and we understand that some students encounter a range of difficulties. We’re here as your first point of contact to offer advice and guidance. If you come to us with an issue that we are unable to resolve at the desk we will point you in the right direction of who can help.

You can visit the Helpdesk to collect and submit your assignments. It would make us very happy if you could remember to bring your student card and if you lose your student card please ring 0114 225 5555.

We can also offer guidance on applying for extensions and requests to repeat assessment attempts (RRAA’s) for times when things just don’t go to plan! We can also book appointments with Senior Administrators and Student Support Officers to resolve more detailed issues.

During your time at University you will become an independent student and will need to keep a track of all your assessments – this can be done via your Assessment Diary which can be accessed through shuspace.

Helpdesk top tip….remember not all assignments have the same deadline time so check your Assessment Diary on a regular basis to keep track of any changes to assessment information.
