Blackboard and shuspace

Blackboard and shuspace are terms that you will often hear as a student at Sheffield Hallam University. It is important that you can identify the difference between the two in order to locate what you need, when you need it.

Please note that you can only access the full content of shuspace and Blackboard when you are enrolled as a Sheffield Hallam student.

When you log in to shuspace it will take you to our online hub for everything you will need to know as a student here. Blackboard is where your academic tutors will put all your course and module information. shuspace is where you can find all other information about the University: employment, medical centre, term times etc.


 Syncing emails

If the University needs to contact you, we will correspond with you via your student email account. We appreciate that you may check your personal email account more often than your student account therefore, to ensure that you do not miss any of our correspondence, you can sync your email accounts by following these simple instructions.

If you are based in a school, you can also sync your student email account to your school email service. This would be encouraged because then you have all your important information linked to one account.
