Do you have a disability? Want to know what support is available to you? Then contact Disabled Student Support  0114 225 3964 disability-support@shu.ac.uk

Disabled Student Support services can:

  • offer advice and guidance to pre-entry university applicants and current students about the support available, including informal meetings and guidance appointments
  • provide information and support for students with specific disabilities
  • provide specialist induction events at the beginning of each academic year
  • offer support with applications for Disabled Students’ Allowances and carry out Needs Assessments at the Sheffield Regional Assessment centre

The International Student Support Team provides advice and guidance on a range of issues affecting study and welfare. The advisers can also provide guidance on your course, assessment and financial issues, and can help you to work through any concerns you might have. Workshops run each semester to help you adjust to UK study methods and teaching styles. They work closely with Hallam Union and other groups to provide activities and social events throughout the year.
