One of Sheffield Hallam’s doctoral researchers has been recognised in this year’s Queen’s Birthday honours list. Bhanu Ramaswamy, a doctoral researcher and visiting fellow in the Centre for Health and Social Care Research, has been awarded the OBE in for services to physiotherapy in Sheffield and her work with people with Parkinson’s.
Bhanu originally worked for the NHS but left to work as an independent physiotherapy consultant and volunteer and has worked on a number of research projects at the University.
