  1. Creating Knowledge Conference – call for contributions | deadline reminder 23 April

 So far, 20% of the Creating Knowledge Conference submissions are from PGR students – we’d love to see more of you getting involved in the broader University research community. There is plenty of room for posters as well as oral presentations on the themes of Borderless Research; Doing things differently; Renewal and recovery; or Reimagining our role. You can submit an abstract for the conference by 23 April and/or enter the 3MT competition by the end of today (16 April).

  1. Library Research Support Sessions – Being an influential researcher | 23 & 30 April

The Library Research Support team continues to run sessions for all researchers on a number of topics. Over the next couple of weeks, they are running sessions on how to use various tools to promote your work and assess its impact.

  1. SIPS Postgraduate Research online showcase and poster competition | 21 April, 1-4pm

A reminder that the Sheffield Institute for Policy Studies are holding their Postgraduate Research showcase and poster competition next week. You can register for the SIPS showcase to be part of a supportive audience for the students presenting their research projects, to find out about their work, and maybe even pick up some tips for your next online poster presentation. Good luck to all the presenters!

  1. PubhDSheffield | 21 April, 7-9 pm

 PubhD April takes place next Wednesday evening with Sheffield researchers sharing their work on Modelling pronunciation and speech (Jose Antonio Lopez Saenz) and Shared working practices (Payal Panjwani). See the PubhD Sheffield website for more details and book here for April PubhD Sheffield.

  1.  In Conversation with Postgradspodcast | 20 April 7pm 

 In Conversation with Postgrads is a podcast for postgrad students and ECRs to discuss their theses, research, and everything else. Episode 12 will be livestreaming next week with Lewis Kellett from SHU talking about representations of youth in 21st century British social realist cinema. If you don’t want to miss it sign up to be emailed the Zoom link (the recording will be available to listen to and download afterwards too).   1. PsyPAGAnnual Conference– call for papers | Deadline 14 May 

 The Psychology Postgraduate Affairs Group (PsyPAG) Annual Conference is happening on 29-30 July this year. The Call for papers is now open and submissions for posters, oral presentations, workshops and works in progress are invited from postgraduate students, researchers and trainees in Psychology. There is no conference theme and the PsyPAG 2021 abstract submission page closes on 14 MayDirect Message @PsyPAG2021 on twitter for queries.
