‘Planning to Complete’ Workshop for CCRI PGRs

May 19 @ 11:00 - 13:00

The CCRI Guidance for Research Degree Completion contains a mixture of useful exercises, prompts, advice, and sources of information to help you and your supervisors plan for timely completion of your thesis.  The aim is to meet your target submission date, before your expiry date of registration.

In the first half of the session you will have an opportunity to discuss with each other and with the PGRTs how you are approaching the task of planning to complete your research investigations and/or to prepare your thesis submission on time. We will identify and share good practice, explore any issues, queries, or concerns, and offer support with troubleshooting.

In the second half we can review and offer feedback on any aspect of planning that you are working on e.g., practical research plan and progress review; research contingency plan; thesis structure or table of contents; chapter summaries; timetable for thesis preparation.  Please bring drafts with you if you have them.

Prior to attending, you are requested to:

Read CCRI Guidance for Research Degree Completion Planning (available to download from CCRI Blackboard Site)

Advance registration is required – please register via Eventbrite for the workshop you wish to attend:

Any questions should be directed to culture-creativity-pgr@shu.ac.uk in the first instance.

This session is targeted at CCRI PGRs who have had their Application for Confirmation of PhD fully approved and would like to discuss or require support with any aspect of completion planning.
