Doctoral School Welcome Session for new PGR Students

A welcome session for all doctoral research students beginning their studies in February 2022 (or who missed a previous session)
The University-wide welcome session hosted by the Doctoral School which is taking place on Wednesday 9 February 2022, 1000 – 1230 virtually via Zoom. Given the current limited access to the University campus and social distancing measures, we have altered the format of the session and anticipate that this will be an informal session, with the chance for you to ‘meet’ some of the staff who will be supporting your studies at the University. This will be the first session in a series of 4 which will also cover Ethics, Working with your Supervisor and Personal Development Planning. We will advertise the dates and booking links for the subsequent sessions shortly.
This session is for all new-starting PhD and Professional Doctorate researchers. M by Res and LLM candidates are also very welcome to attend.
It is principally aimed at researchers starting from February 2022, but anyone who enrolled from October 2021 onwards who missed the previous induction session is also welcome.
All new PhD and Professional Doctorate researchers at Sheffield Hallam University are required to attend an induction event.

– Connecting with the SHU doctoral community
– Meet your peers / map your network
