Congratulations to the first recipients of two new awards for doctoral researchers in the Department of Psychology, Sociology and Politics (PSP).

The Shine Award for outstanding academic achievement during the PhD was presented to Sara Hughes for her two publications in Personality and Individual Differences during her PhD.

The Best Developing Academic Award is a peer nomination award that recognises an individual’s contribution to the academic community and a collegial and supportive attitude to their peers. Two awards were presented this year, to Rebecca Denniss and Nicola Lonsdale.

The Awards were presented at the PSP induction day for new students, which was organised by Rosie Martin (PSP PhD Forum Secretary) and Nikki Dean Marshall (PhD Forum Chair).
