CHEFS Research Group – Children’s Food, Feeding and Inequalities

17 October 2022 @ 12:00 - 13:30

The CHEFS (Culture, Health, Environment, Food and Society) research group at Sheffield Hallam University is delighted to host a series of online research talks exploring the socio-cultural dimensions of food and drink.

The next session focuses on research on “Children’s Food, Feeding and Inequalities” on Monday 17 October, 1200 – 1330 on Zoom.  The session will feature two presentations: Irmak Karademir Hazir (Oxford Brookes University) will give a talk on her longitudinal, ethnographic research, set in the UK, on class differences in parental approaches to feeding, cooking, shopping, and planning; and Filippo Oncini (University of Manchester) will share insights from his ethnographic research, set in Italy, on school teachers and ‘frail food pedagogies’.

All welcome: local and global students, staff, practitioners and public.  Please feel free to share with your networks.  Full details, and Zoom joining link are available on the CHEFS blog page
