SIPS Research Showcase and Poster Competition Support Session

This support session will help you to draft and submit your application. It will cover abstract writing, poster presentation and presentation skills. The session will last for approximately one hour and there will be an opportunity to see some previous examples and ask questions. The session will be repeated several times both online and in person on both City and Collegiate Campuses. Booking is not required for this session and you are welcome to attend if you would like to ask for advice for other conferences not just the SIPS Research Showcase and Poster Competition.

This session will be held in person on City Campus in Aspect Court room 15204.

About the SIPS Research Showcase and Poster Competition

The SIPS (Sheffield Institute for Policy Studies) Research Showcase and Poster Competition is back this year as part of the PGR Showcase Event.  The in-person event will take place on City Campus on 6 June 2024 and is open to all Doctoral students across the University, further information will be circulated about the PGR Showcase but for now please save the date.  

The SIPS Research Showcase and Poster Competition is a perfect opportunity for any new or continuing doctoral student to get supportive and constructive feedback on either a research project they are undertaking themselves or as part of a wider team within a Research Assistant/Student Researcher role.  The Research Showcase and Poster Competition is open to all doctoral students across the university.  

The submission deadline for 200 word abstracts is Friday 3 May 2024 via the abstract submission link
