Education Store

The Microsoft Store for Education is used within Sheffield Hallam University to provide Modern Apps to staff and students from the Store.

The Education Store is an Enterprise version of the Consumer Microsoft Store that users will familiar with on their personal Windows 10 PC.

The Microsoft Store for Education allows Sheffield Hallam University to add applications to the Store and to assign applications to an individual user or groups of users, including applications that require a payment so applications can be purchased that can then be used for teaching and learning.

Not all applications available in the Consumer Store are available in the Microsoft Store for Education because App developers can opt-out their apps, and they also need to meet eligibility requirements for Microsoft Store for Education.

At present there is only a small subset of applications available within the Education Store. More applications can be added, but it can take up to 36 hours for applications to appear within the Store once added to the inventory of available applications.
