1. Save The Date(s): Creating Knowledge Conference 2020 – 9-12 June 2020
We are pleased to confirm that the Creating Knowledge Conference 2020 will be taking place as a virtual event. The conference will open at 10.00 am on Tuesday 9 June and places can be booked via Eventbrite on https://shu_ck20.eventbrite.co.uk

2. Library Research Support Team Drop-In Sessions
The Library Research Support Team are continuing with their drop-in sessions – the next one is on Friday 29 May. 3. Doctoral School Drop-In Sessions for Professional Development Training Queries
The Doctoral School team are holding drop-ins for staff and doctoral / M by Res researchers. Next week they are on Wednesday and Friday at 9.30-10.00.
The drop-ins are there for researchers to ask us questions about professional development including the Researcher Development Framework (RDF), online training, the Early Career Researcher (ECR) staff network and the Creating Knowledge conference. You can join at this link

4. Information for PGR Students and Supervisors about studying and processes/regulations affected by Covid-19
Just a reminder that PGR students and staff can access information and forms relating to support for study during the Covid-19 lockdown. The folder can be accessed via the Research Degrees Blackboard Organisation Site. On the left hand menu, click on RDC and Forms, then CORONAVIRUS – DOCUMENTS. This folder contains information, guidance and forms.

5. The Skills Centre – HIIT writing sessions
PhD students are welcome to attend the HIIT (High Intensity Interval Typing) sessions. These sessions involve goal setting and periods of concentrated writing. The Skills Centre runs these sessions once a week and the timetable for these sessions can be found on the Writing Gym Libguide (available here).
