Katie Shearn (CHSCR) has been awarded first prize for her presentation ‘Delivering positive youth sexual health services: a realist inquiry’ at the Public Health PhD Symposium, held at Liverpool John Moores University.

The symposium brought together postgraduate public health researchers around the theme of ‘Methodologies in Public Health Research’. It focussed on innovative or unique methodologies employed whilst conducting research in a range of public health topics, including drugs and alcohol, sexual and reproductive health, violence, obesity, and population health.

In Katie’s presentation, she set out her approach to gathering ideas and evidence regarding effective ways to deliver positive youth sexual health services, for whom, under what circumstances, and why.
