WriteFest 2019 | Writing Without Discipline

Eligibility: All researchers
Format: 1.5h, video and face to face interactive workshop
Facilitator: Dr Elizabeth Scanlon, Sheffield Hallam Doctoral School and (on video) Dr Matthew Cheeseman, Senior Lecturer in Creative Writing at the University of Derby.
How can writing change your thinking? And how can understanding how people write, change the way you think about and approach writing? This interactive workshop uses video and face to face materials to help participants get to grips with creative writing methods and techniques to introduce new ways of building writing into your daily routine. The workshop will provide a framework for understanding how writing is constructed, discuss tools you can use to approach your writing and help you to think creatively about your writing habits.
After the workshop we invite you to submit your creative work for publication in The Journal of Imaginary Research, edited by Dr Kay Guccione and Dr Matt Cheeseman: https://journalofimaginaryresearch.home.blog
