Time Management

June 27 @ 09:30 - 12:00

There never seems to be enough time. There is so much to do, competing priorities, looming deadlines. We are often so busy doing things that there is no time to step back and look at how we are doing things and how we are managing our time. This workshop is an opportunity to do just that.

It covers prioritising, goal setting and managing competing demands in a university context. If you want to increase your effectiveness without compromising your work/life balance, then this workshop is for you. Key aspects of this workshop have featured in the journal Nature.

This workshop will show you how to:

  • take control of your time
  • prioritise
  • stop procrastinating and stay motivated
  • avoid distractions
  • say NO (and understand why it is so hard to do so)
  • balance competing demands
  • manage email and paperwork
  • think more realistically about your productivity

Who is it for?

Researchers, staff aspiring to do research, PGR students and research adjacent staff wishing to manage their time better so they can increase their effectiveness and improve their work/life balance.

Please complete the MS Form to book your place.
