Skills Centre: Stats Support – Stressed about Stats

You are not alone! Statistics is a commonly taught subject in higher education but many people feel anxious and struggle with the subject.  Anxiety impacts on your ability to learn effectively but there are strategies for reducing anxiety and increasing confidence with stats.  In this free workshop, we will cover:

• how and why anxiety impacts on learning
• how to tackle feeling anxious
• tips for effective learning

This workshop is run by the statistics support service at SHU and is based on research carried out by the stats support coordinator Ellen.

Both the workshop and stats support are available to any student or member of staff at SHU.
