Universities set clear timescales for doctoral student registration.  Managing timely progression and completion is one of, if not the, the key role for supervisors.  This requires supervisors to encourage, support and motivate students to progress in their studies.  In this session we look at strategies and behaviours to use supervisions to monitor progress.  We also consider the role of supervisors in formal progression events.  The session aligns with the UKCGE Good Practice Framework
