Reference management software – which tool to use and getting started with RefWorks

In this session you will be introduced to reference management software. We will consider how reference management software can help you with your work and then look at the advantages/disadvantages of the various options -RefWorks, EndNote, Mendeley, etc. –  selecting which tool is best for you.  There will then be an opportunity to get started with using RefWorks:

• signing up for a RefWorks account
• building your database of references
• managing your references using folders
• automatically creating citations and bibliographies in Word
• some of the more advanced features of RefWorks as time allows
