Library Research Support Team – New Database – Dimensions Plus: training session

The Library Research Support Team would like to invite you to an early introduction to a new database the Library has subscribed to for the next year (2019/20): Dimensions Plus. This database will be available to all staff and students at SHU but they think it will be of particular interest to staff or doctoral students who are undertaking research.
This session will cover how to use the key features of the database and it will be delivered by Tom Lickiss, a Dimensions representative.
What is Dimensions Plus?
Dimensions Plus is a multi-disciplinary, next generation database with some unique features including the ability to:
- search across over 128 million publications
- search across grants, publications, policy documents, clinical trials and patents
- explore the connections between the different publication types
- explore research analytics such as citation counts, altmetrics and analytical views
