Getting Published event

The Library Research Support team will be running a workshop on getting published at 1.15 – 3.00 pm on Thursday 28 March. It comprises a workshop for doctoral students and researchers at any stage of their career, facilitating discussion around the following topics:
- Authorship good practice – author order, who should be an author, conflicts of interest, dealing with editors and reviewers (led by Prof Ann Macaskill).
- Publishing in the best place for your research / avoiding predatory publishers (led by Prof Nicola Woodroofe).
- Publishing good practice – originality, avoiding prior/duplicate publication, third party copyright, salami slicing (led by Prof Jacqueline Stevenson).
- Publishing Open Access – understanding routes to OA, advantages and disadvantages, why OA or why not (led by Prof Chris Sammon).
