Finding sources Bite Size session

7 November 2017 @ 09:00 - 09:30

This is an introductory session aimed at those starting out in research, or returning to research. It is useful for people conducting an extensive search, for example as part of a literature review.

The session covers

  • Knowing your topic / subject area – the main types of source and where they can be found
  • The importance of planning for your search
  • How to apply what you learn – search as feedback process

If you are interested in a session where you do some searches and discuss tips on using databases, there is a related practical session on ‘Finding sources.’
