English for research students

A free academic English class for international students working independently on a research degree.
The focus of the class is on practising and developing the language needed to explain and present research in both written and spoken formats, including preparation of the RF1 and RF2 documents. The class provides a good opportunity to get feedback, and to meet other doctoral researchers from across the university.
Sessions are held every Thursday from 12:00 – 13:30 in the Adsetts Bridge Classroom (beginning 6th October, 2016). For more information, please contact H.Donaghue@shu.ac.uk
