Doctoral students Lisa Deininger and Ekta Patel, from BMRC, recently presented at the IV International Conference on Analytical Proteomics in Costa de Caparica, Portugal.

Lisa presented a 5-minute talk entitled “Bottom up proteomic detection of blood via MALDI MS for forensic provenance determination” and Ekta Patel presented a 10-minute shotgun talk entitled “Improved efficiency of in situ tryptic proteolysis for fresh frozen and FFPE tissue“. Ekta was awarded a joint first for the best presentation!

BMRC PhD student Abbey Thorpe attended the Discs Conference in London in September 2015 and was awarded best podium presentation!

The title of her presentation was Thermally Triggered Injectable Hydrogel Which Induces Mesenchymal Stem Cell Differentiation to Promote Regeneration of the Intervertebral Disc (A Thorpe, C Sammon, C Le Maitre).
