Lab4Living partner, Talarmade shortlisted for Healthcare Business Award
The shortlist has been announced for the Medilink North of England Healthcare Business Awards 2019. Talarmade, Lab4Living‘s partner for the manufacture and distribution of the HeadUp neck support, has been shortlisted for the Partnership with Academia Award.
The HeadUp neck support collar was designed as part of a collaborative project between C3RI’s Lab4Living, the University of Sheffield and NIHR Devices for Dignity (D4D) MedTech Co-operative (hosted by Sheffield Teaching Hospitals). This revolutionary product was originally designed to ease pain, and make everyday tasks such as eating and communicating, easier for people living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND). The device can be used to counter neck weakness caused by a range of other conditions and is now in production and available through healthcare company, Talarmade.
The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony in Leeds on Wednesday 13 February 2019.
