About CCRI
The Culture and Creativity Research Institute (CCRI) is Sheffield Hallam University’s largest and highest rated community of researchers. The Institute includes four Research Centres, the Art, Design and Media Research Centre, the Communication, Culture and Media Research Centre, the Humanities Research Centre and Lab4Living.
CCRI is host to DesignFutures who provide specialist research and consultancy services to industry in the areas of product and packaging design. DesignFutures have a proven track record as innovators, being cited as inventors or contributors to a portfolio of intellectual property and have accrued a number of design awards. CCRI also provides a business focussed consultancy and research service in communications and computing to businesses through our dedicated Knowledge Transfer team.
The Institute is all about making connections – bringing together specialisms in art, design, media production, communication studies, computing and engineering into the University’s largest community of researchers. The CCRI Impact Blog brings together researchers from these specialisms with other academic partners, students, librarians, administrators and external collaborators from the worlds of healthcare, manufacturing, commerce and beyond to showcase the ways our research reaches communities beyond the University.
