Head of Media Arts and Communication Dr Brian Tweedale interviewed on BBC Radio Sheffield
The Head of Department for Media Arts and Communication, Dr Brian Tweedale, was on the Toby Foster show on BBC Radio Sheffield last Friday, discussing the Sheffield City bid to secure the relocation of Channel 4’s headquarters to the city. Brian was interviewed on Friday 11 May to stress the importance of the bid to both the City and the University to put Sheffield on the map as an important centre for film and TV in the country, and can be heard here.
Over the past year, a team chaired by Richard Caborn has brought together key stakeholders in the City to build a case submitted to Channel 4. A shortlist will be released on 30 May and the final winner announced in October. You can find out more about the bid at #C4Sheffield here.
