‘A Conversation on the Life of Artists’ Estates’ – Professor Keith Wilson discusses Holt & Smithson in conversation with Lisa Le Feuvre
C3RI Professor of Sculpture and Director of the Graduate Center’s Center for the Humanities Keith Wilson was recently in conversation with Lisa Le Feuvre, the inaugural Executive Director of the Holt-Smithson Foundation about the legacy of land artists Nancy Holt and Robert Smithson.
Founded in 2017, the Holt-Smithson Foundation is an artist-endowed foundation that aims to continue the creative and investigative legacies of Holt and her husband, Robert Smithson, from its base in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Wilson and Le Feuvre discussed how one can understand the task of managing an artist’s estate and balancing managing the materials and less-tangible elements like the artist’s persona or reputation.
Fine out more about the event here.
