DUST & METAL (CÁT BỤI & KIM LOẠI), the first UK-Viet Nam cine-concert co-production, will premiere in Viet Nam as part of the British Council’s UK/Viet Nam Season 2023 in October

Dust & Metal, a creative documentary feature film, will be presented with a live music score.

The music will be composed by San Francisco-based Vietnamese electronic artist Xo Xinh, with sound design by Hanoi-based artist Nhung Nguyễn. This female-lead production (directed by Esther Johnson) offers audiences a rare and exciting opportunity to explore film from the archives of the Viet Nam Film Institute.

There will be two screenings, accompanied by two engaging workshops, all open to the public and seeking to explore socio-cultural themes of understanding between the UK and Viet Nam.
