The fifth issue of Volume 22 of The Design Journal has now been published, and includes a book review by Lab4Living researcher Rebecca Partridge. In his editorial, ‘It’s getting better all the time‘, editor Prof Paul Atkinson look back on our past experiences through the lens of the increased understanding that comes with age. He sees design as a key route through which we learn from past experiences, and strive to improve. The papers in this issue tackle this continual growth and progress.
The issue includes a review by Lab4Living researcher Rebecca Partridge of Designing for Society: Products and Services for a Better World, by Nynke Tromp and Paul Hekkert.
The Design Journal has posted a call for papers for a special themed section on Smart Textiles, to be guest edited by Prof Julian Malins from the University of Dundee. A selection of accepted papers will be published in Vol. 23 issue 6 in November 2020.
