Association for Contemporary Jewellery’s 20:20 Visions Conference in Sheffield 07 – 09 July 2017
The Association for Contemporary Jewellery (ACJ) is bringing an agenda of promoting the artform, supporting the makers and developing the audience in the UK and abroad this week, as part of a 3-day conference between Friday 07 July and Sunday 09 July 2017.

As part of the programme members of the Art & Design Research Centre will be giving sessions and talks, including Professor Christoph Zellweger discussing The Cultured Body – an artistic investigation, Maria Hanson discussing Making as Agency: a jeweller’s reflection and Dr Cóilín Ó Dubhghaill presenting a session titled Mikana: new forms of mokume gane.
Other speakers confirmed for the conference include Boris Bally (USA), Elizabeth Shaw (Australia), Melissa Cameron (USA), Johanna Zellmer (NZ / Germany) Simon Fraser (UK) and many more. For a full programme please see here.
The conference takes place in and around Cantor Building at Sheffield Hallam University, but also features a trip to the Sheffield Assay Office in Hillsborough.

Professor Christoph Zellweger is a Professor of Art & Design, Maria Hanson is Reader in Metalwork & Jewellery and Dr Cóilín Ó Dubhghaill is a Senior Research Fellow at Sheffield Hallam University.
