Jisc have recently revised their website and materials related to “student expectations of the digital environment” and how institutions are addressing the needs of an increasingly digitally-savvy student population. There is a lot of interesting material on the website, but of particular interest might be the new ‘Exemplars‘ section that features, among others, two case studies on initiatives undertaken at SHU. The SHU examples are:

• ‘Cross-institutional open course – BYOD4L‘ covering the development of a short, online course on Social Media and Mobile Devices
• ‘Developing staff, developing courses, developing students‘ outlining the development of our Minimum Expectations for E-Learning and Teaching Approaches Menu

The site is well worth browsing through for anyone interested in digital ways to engage students in their learning.
