Dr Eduardo Tome
Dr Eduardo Tomé gained is PhD in Economics (2001), with a Thesis on the European Social Fund. Since then he has worked in several Portuguese private universities. He published over 50 papers in peer-reviewed Journals and presented 80 papers in international conferences. He also authored 7 book chapters, He was involved in organising and charing 10 international Conferences which he also co-edited the Proceedings and edited four Specials Issues in EJKM, EJTD and IJKBD. Since September 2020 he has worked at Universidade Lusófona in Lisbon, Portugal. His main interests are Intangibles (Human Resources, Knowledge Management and Intellectual Capital), Social Policy and International Economics (globalization and the European Integration).
Dr Sarah Fidment
As the Subject Group Leader for Organisational Behaviour and Human Resource Management at the Sheffield Business School, Sarah is a transformational leader with vision, passion, and proven ability in increasing impact of management and leadership excellence. She is an expert on leadership development having designed, developed, and delivered over 50+ leadership development interventions for national and international audiences. Sarah’s influence has extended to government policy development as a peer reviewer and published author on behalf of the Independent Commission for Aid Impact, enhancing the external reputation of HE and HRD practice, 2019, is a board member of the International Journal for HRD: Practice Policy and Research and was awarded Associate Professorship in 2020 in recognition for her outstanding contribution to leadership and management professional practice. Prior to academia Sarah held Senior Executive positions in SME’s in the Sheffield City Region. Sarah is delighted to be Chair of the 2022 UFHRD Annual Conference.
