In February and March (with a bonus session in April), the TEL team will be running workshops for staff who want to reflect on their current teaching practice, identify possible changes and investigate technologies that can help enhance engagement and learning. Sessions are being held at both City and Collegiate campuses and are all open to staff from all faculties.

These workshops are an opportunity for you to begin engaging with the ‘Teaching Approaches Menu’ that has been developed to reflect the varied teaching practices of academic staff at SHU. The Menu is a framework that will assist academic staff in identifying different teaching strategies and the technologies that can support and facilitate these strategies, enhancing existing provision or as part of designing and developing new courses.

These sessions are suitable for all staff members, regardless of interest and skill levels with technology. They are an opportunity to share practice and learn from colleagues from across the institution and for identifying interesting teaching practices that could be transferred between areas.
