3 September 2018 – Prospectus Internal Funding Applications open

Following the launch of the Creating Knowledge Prospectus on 1 August I am delighted to announce that the application process is now live.

The Transforming Lives Strategy and the Creating Knowledge Implementation Plan (CKIP) set clear goals for the development of our Research and Knowledge Exchange activities.   The funding opportunities described in the Prospectus, and now open to applications, are intended to support research and Knowledge Exchange (KE) development across the University.

Our intention has been to achieve a balance between supporting and further strengthening established areas of excellence and encouraging the development of emerging areas.  We have also placed a significant premium on cross disciplinary working and collaboration.

Full details of the application process can be found in the Internal Funding section of the hub.   Further advice can be sought from your Department Research Leads, Research Centre Director and/or Assistant Dean for Research and Innovation.   An Early Career Researcher (ECR) Network Event has been scheduled for Tuesday 25 September to help support ECR staff prepare applications.

The Creating Knowledge Conference in June demonstrated the quality, breadth and potential of our research and KE activity.   The CK internal funding streams provide an opportunity to translate great ideas into excellent projects.   I look forward to reviewing your proposals.
