Research led by Dr Alessandro Soranzo in 2015 looking to Mona Lisa’s smile has been referenced by Ars Technica, for a feature on the so-called ‘Mona Lisa Effect’.

Dr Alessandro Soranzo is a Reader in Psychology within the Faculty of Development and Society at Sheffield Hallam University. Alessandro’s research interests are in the field of visual cognition and in particular colour perception, perception of art, visual attention and human/robot interaction.
