Dr Robbie Aitken interviewed by WFHB Bloomington Indiana on the Black experience in Nazi Germany

Dr Robbie Aitken, Reader in Imperial History, Department of Humanities was recently interviewed on US community radio show ‘Bring It On!’ in WFHB Bloomington, Indiana.

‘Bring It On’ is a weekly radio programme committed to exploring the people, issues and events impacting the African-American community. Robbie spoke about the Black experience of Nazi Germany, which is a key focus of his research. The interview also touched on Black Lives Matter, the legacies of European Imperialism and former President Donald Trump. You can listen to the interview here on the WFHB website.

Robbie has also been working as the historical consultant and interview partner on a documentary on the history of Black people in Germany. This film will be shown on ARD (Germany’s equivalent of the BBC) around August time, so watch this space for further details of the broadcast.
