Professor Christoph Zellweger invited to lecture at Šperk Stret conference

Professor Christoph Zellweger has been invited to give a lecture at this year’s Šperk Stret 2014 conference, taking place from 08 – 10 October. He will be presenting ‘What’s up with jewellery / news from the edge’.

The 6th International Conference of Contemporary Jewellery in Bratislava Šperk Stret 2014 follows running tradition, evolves consciousness in this art discipline and creates the space for meeting of professional artist-jewellers and theorists. This year the main topic of the conference ‘Groups vs. Individuals’ will be reflecting on the field of art jewellery from different points of view and connections. The aim is to encourage a search across disciplines for new inspiration and offers a forum for dialogue and discussion.

It is a two-day conference accompanied by several exhibitions. Šperk Stret 2014 is organised by Studio s+m+l_XL Metal and Jewellery and will take place at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava.

Professor Christoph Zellweger is a Professor of Art & Design at Sheffield Hallam University.
