We have decided to reschedule the Blackboard upgrade originally planned for this weekend.  This is to allow extra time for Blackboard to release improvements to Box View such as the ability to download annotated files. These improvements are scheduled to be released in August, so we have chosen a new upgrade date in September to give us sufficient time to test Blackboard before the upgrade.

The new upgrade time will be during the weekend of 14-16 September. The upgrade will start at 5pm on Friday 14th September and continue throughout the weekend. It is predicted that the Blackboard system will be available again by the morning of Sunday 16th September but it should be considered at risk all day Sunday as well. Staff and students will not be able to access shuspace and Blackboard sites during the upgrade. Therefore please do not schedule teaching and learning activities in Blackboard during this time, including online submission of assessments.

We recognise that this new time will not be as convenient for some teaching programmes, and apologise for any inconvenience this change in the upgrade time causes. As always, the upgrade team will strive to minimise any downtime.
