A recent Internet Explorer 11 (IE 11) security update will cause IE 11 to crash when an instructor accesses a Blackboard site with Edit Mode on. It can also affect students attempting to use the private or group blogs, or wiki tools in Blackboard.

Our university machines have Internet Explorer 9 installed on them and there should not be any issues for staff and students accessing Blackboard on campus as a result. However this may affect some users when accessing Blackboard off campus. We recommend users use Google Chrome or Internet Explorer 9 or 10 when off campus.
