Description: The social media platform LinkedIn presents a valuable opportunity for students to gain insight into the working world. There are already 1394 people registered with it under the Company name ‘Sheffield Hallam University’. Some are registered as staff, some as students. In this session ideas about how staff can use LinkedIn either in teaching or student support activities will be shared, with the goal of enabling SHU students and graduates to market themselves more effectively and become more aware of the impact of their online digital identity.
Presenters: This workshop will be led by Sue Beckingham (ACES) and Dave Cotton (SLS, Careers and Employment).
This session is part of Releasing Our Potential, a University programme of professional development for academic and learning support staff.
