Did you know there is a lot of support available to help students use Blackboard?
An extensive self-help knowledge base explaining how to use the features in Blackboard is available for all students. It can be accessed by going to http://bb-help.shu.ac.uk, by clicking on the “Blackboard Help” link in your 2010/11 sites, or through the links in shuspace.
If your students have any problems with the content of a particular site they should speak to the relevant module tutor. For technical problems or one-to-one support on using Blackboard students can call in to one of the learning centre helpdesks or they can contact Advisory by phone or e-mail.
We have also prepared a guide to introduce students to the changes in Blackboard 9. They will be able to access the guide from shuspace. You can also download the guide to provide directly to your students.
The ‘Did you know?’ series explores possibilities in e-learning that you may not be aware of. See other articles from the series.
