A new site for staff providing information and resources relating to the Employability Plan
Copy of email by Conor Moss, Director of Education and Employer Partnerships sent to Heads of Department April 2018
Dear colleagues,
I am very pleased to be able to confirm that the Employability Plan intranet site for staff is now live:
https://blogs.shu.ac.uk/employabilityplan/ (you may be asked to login using your standard SHU login details)
The site provides information and resources relating to the Employability Plan and the three strands of the Employability Promise, and includes all current Faculty Employability Partnership Agreements (EPAs). Please share with any colleagues who may find this of interest.
It is our intention that the site is a dynamic resource which will evolve we would welcome your feedback and suggestions in terms of content.
I would also like to make you aware of this year’s graduate support programme, GradVantage, for current finalists which builds upon the success of last year’s programme. Departmental Employability Advisers (EAs) are currently in the process of contacting 1,068 unengaged and priority L6 students (BAME, disabled and WP) from RAG courses that we have identified through UniHub as having not engaged with the Careers and Employability Service during their final year. The EAs are offering 1:1 coaching appointments and making them aware of the full offer, which includes; RISE, the Hallam Internship Scheme, GradVantage LinkedIn Group, weekly webinars and boost sessions.
The GradVantage offer will also be communicated to all finalists from the beginning of May through an initial personalised email from departmental EAs and then via social media channels throughout May.
