British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) are looking to appoint staff to be part of the event team running BUCS Nationals in 2020.
Please note that this role is available as a professional development opportunity to both internal BUCS staff, and individuals currently employed or engaged by a BUCS member university.
The BUCS Nationals team will have the overall aim of ensuring that the event is run to its highest standards, ensuring competitors across all 8 sports have the best sporting experience throughout the event.
The successful applicant will take on the role for one BUCS Nationals, from appointment through to conclusion of the event.
BUCS Nationals will consist of 6000+ participants from over 150 member institutions, with the event taking place from Friday 14 February until Sunday 16 February 2020 in Sheffield. Participants will be spread across 8 individual sports – athletics, badminton, climbing, fencing, karate, judo, rifle, and swimming.
In addition to the event duration and pre-event set up period (Thursday 13 February – Sunday 16 February), the successful candidate will need to be available to attend the pre-event briefing (date to be confirmed).
It is anticipated that an appointment will be made on the basis of the written submissions, with an interview taking place only if required.
