Sheffield Hallam University has collaborated with LinkedIn Learning to provide all SHU students with the opportunity to learn and develop their digital skills for free whilst you are at Hallam. Hooray!
LinkedIn Learning is an online educational platform that helps you discover and develop your creative, technology-related and study skills through expert-led course videos. LinkedIn Learning gives you the ability to learn skills trending in your profession. Each course is taught by industry experts and is broken down into a series of short videos that are easy to follow.
To create an account with your SHU email, you can visit the Hallam Digital Skills page https://www.shu.ac.uk/digital-skills/linkedin-learning where you can find a PDF guide that shows you how to do so step by step.
Once you are all set, you will notice that there are over 15,000 courses available! There are three main categories: Business, Creative and Technology, along with a fourth section, ‘Sheffield Hallam University’. In the SHU section, you will find top useful skills that the university highlighted that could be beneficial and of particular interest for students, such as ‘Job search’ and ‘Career Development’.

• Time Management Course, in particular, ‘Time Management: Working from Home’.
Such course will help you to work more efficiently and productively. Time management is an essential skill for students to have as it allows you to complete more in less time! This course will assist you on how to balance professional and personal responsibilities in the home.
