Since launching the Sheffield Hallam Campus Masterplan in February this year we have spoken to representatives from each faculty to outline how Phase 1 (the first five years) will impact their school.

The following four video interviews provide a great overview for each area; but could also provide useful information about the estate developments regardless of where you work. Although the investment in four new buildings on the site of the Science Park and car park will provide a home for Sheffield Business School and some departments within the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, they will all be Sheffield Hallam buildings with communal spaces for all staff, students and visitors to use.

Professor Kevin Kerrigan, Pro Vice-Chancellor of Sheffield Business School.

Professor Sally Wade, Deputy Dean from the Faculty of Science, Technology and Arts.

Professor Chris Wigginton, Pro Vice-Chancellor from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities.

Professor Alison Metcalfe, Pro Vice-Chancellor of the Faculty of Health and Wellbeing.

The work that will be undertaken over the next five years will transform Howard Street; making improvements to public areas, creating a corridor from Howard Street to the Students Union; creating a vibrant and attractive space for staff, students and visitors to enjoy.

The location at the gateway to the city will enhance the visibility of the university and promote engagement and investment in the Sheffield City Region, creates a showcase of the talent and expertise in Hallam, and will portray the image of a university that is ‘open for business.
