Sheffield magazine NowThen is celebrating ten years by partnering with Sheffield Hallam University and commissioning artwork on Howard Street.

The mural, painted by local artist Rob Lee will be designed on a Hallam building just off of Howard Street, creating a visually stunning piece of artwork on a prominent route into the city.

“The partnership between NowThen and Rob Lee is a great example of the creative and collaborative spirit in Sheffield and we’re thrilled to be involved, to provide the canvas for the artwork and contribute to the street art in the city centre, adding to the distinctive personality, creating spaces that are uniquely Sheffield.”
Daniel Ladbury, Director of Estates

NowThen Magazine
This year NowThen Magazine is celebrating 10 years in print and doing 10 things (one each month) to celebrate and showcase the different sections of the magazine.

The 1st one in April was a very special addition of the magazine, for month two we worked with Public (speakeasy-style cocktail bar in the old public toilets under the Town Hall) to create a NowThen cocktail. June was all about music, the Mix’s we’ve done over the years and a special 10 years Mix . For month four, July we are doing food, specifically bbq items: A sun dried tomato, basil and Hendo’s sausage by Roneys AND a special vegan recipe interpreting the values and aims of NowThen by internet sensations and now authors of “the fastest-selling cookery book of 2018 and the fastest-selling title of its kind since records beganBOSH! aka Henry and Ian, two Sheffield born lads.

For the 6th Thing we are doing ‘Art’ – commissioning Rob Lee aka RL83 to paint a 10-year tribute mural on a Sheffield Hallam building at the end of Arundel Street, so that everyone coming up Howard Street would see it. The unveiling will take place on 5 October, 6pm – 7pm.
