In order to carry out essential maintenance to equipment on the University’s High Voltage network we need to isolate power to all areas of the following buildings:
- Owen (including Main Reception, Security Control, Peak Lecture Theatre, Hallam Hall, Chef Hallam and Hallam View)
- Norfolk (including Club Hallam)
- Cantor
- Adsetts
We have initially agreed with the University’s High Voltage service provider to carry out these works on Thursday 17 December commencing after 6pm. Each building will be isolated individually and we expect the maximum power outage for each building to be 1½ hours. The only power available during this time will be emergency lighting and we therefore advise that no students or members of the public be allowed into these areas at this time. Staff presence should also be limited to critical operations only.
