From 42nd Street to Chicago, Phantom to Wicked, Broadway musicals have spawned some of the catchiest songs of our age…and now you can hear them as you’ve never heard them before, when Chorus UK brings Broadway home to Sheffield.
Supported by the superb Sheffield Pops Orchestra, the concert also features your favourite hits from Cats, Guys and Dolls, Copacabana, and Les Misèrables.
Chorus UK is made up entirely of local people, many of whom sang for the first time at a free ‘try singing’ workshop at the City Hall. The Choir is now developing into one of the region’s most innovative and creative – having sung everything from Arctic Monkeys to Disney in concert, yet still holding tight to its principles of blending open access to singing for all with the highest musical standards.
