There is a current run of fake spam voicemail alert emails which are distributing malware. Messages typically have the subject line “You’ve received a new message from Skype voicemail service”. These emails contain a copyright notice with a fake warning that “Skype staff will NEVER ask you for your password via email”, to appear genuine. The zip file attachments are contaminated with a variant of the ZeuS banking Trojan which steals information from your PC.
Do not try to download the attached ‘voicemail’ file, as it will download the associated Trojan and infect your PC.
