The University Creating Knowledge Conference will take place on Monday 17 June 2019 at City Campus. It will provide an opportunity for our researchers to present their work associated with the Creating Knowledge research and impact platforms and foundations
- Healthy, Independent Lives
- Thriving, Inclusive Communities
- Future Economies
- Creativity and Culture
- Professional Practice
There will be ample opportunity to explore the potential internal and external collaborations offered by the platforms and how they can be realised. The conference is open to all staff and doctoral students; so, whether you’re already an established researcher, an early career researcher, your work supports research or you would like to get into research but aren’t sure how, please do join us (registration will open in May). The day will also include a doctoral showcase where students will present their work at dedicated stands during the lunch and refreshment intervals.
Presentations and abstract submission
Abstracts for 15 minute oral presentations are invited from all staff and doctoral students (there will not be a poster session this year). Presentations should be pitched at the level of a generalist academic audience.
Abstracts should be no longer than 250 words and should be submitted using this form before 12 noon on Friday 22 March 2019.
A programme committee will be convened and chaired by Professor Doug Cleaver, Director of the Doctoral School. The group will comprise representatives of the Professoriate, Early Career Researcher and Doctoral Researcher communities who will review the abstracts and make the selection for inclusion in the programme.
